Anaïstudios values your privacy. We therefore process only the data that is necessary for (improving) our services and handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes. This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services accessible through it provided by Anaïstudios. Upon the publication of a new version, all previous versions become invalid. This privacy policy explains which data we collect about you, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.If you have any questions about our privacy policy, you can contact our data protection representative. Shopify

Our online store is built using software provided by Shopify. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data only to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose.Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, Shopify is required to implement appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify is a certified processor of credit card data.Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information related to your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored through these cookies. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own corporate group to further improve its services. Shopify adheres to applicable statutory retention periods for (personal) data.The EU/US Privacy Shield applies, which means your data may be processed in the United States.

E-mail and mailinglists

We use Klaviyo as our email marketing platform. When you subscribe to our newsletter through our online store, your email address and any other data you provide are automatically stored within our mailing list in Shopify and synced with Klaviyo. This allows us to send you updates, promotions, and relevant information about AnaïStudios. If you place an order in our webshop, you may also be added to our email list, provided you have given consent to receive marketing communications. Klaviyo processes this information on our behalf and never uses your data for its own purposes. They apply appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data. Each marketing email we send contains a clear “unsubscribe” link. With a single click, you can remove yourself from our mailing list at any time. Once you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive marketing communications from us, although we may still contact you for service-related matters such as order updates or customer support.

Klaviyo stores our email marketing data on secure servers and protects this information using industry-standard security measures, including encryption and controlled access. They process data only on our behalf and never use it for their own purposes. Klaviyo also uses cookies and tracking technologies to measure the performance of our emails, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. These cookies do not store personally identifiable information and are used solely to improve our email communication. You can manage cookie settings through your browser at any time.

Gmail

We use Gmail for our regular business email communication. This provider has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Gmail does not have access to our mailbox, and we handle all our email correspondence confidentially.

Mollie payments

We use Mollie as our payment service provider to securely process online payments in our webshop. When you choose to complete a purchase, Mollie processes your payment information on our behalf. This may include your name, payment details, IP address, and other data necessary to complete the transaction. Mollie complies with strict security standards, including PCI-DSS for handling credit card information, and uses encrypted connections to protect your data. Mollie will never use your payment data for purposes other than processing your transaction. We only receive limited information from Mollie, such as confirmation of payment status, so we can complete your order. Shipping&logistics 

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to ensure that your package is delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to handle our shipments. For this purpose, we need to share your name, address, and place of residence with PostNL. PostNL uses this information solely for the performance of the delivery agreement. If PostNL employs subcontractors, they may also receive your data as part of this process.

DHl

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to ensure that your package is delivered to you. We use the services of DHL to handle our shipments. For this purpose, we need to share your name, address, and place of residence with DHL. DHL uses this information solely for the performance of the delivery agreement. If DHL employs subcontractors, they may also receive your data as part of this process.

General Purpose of Data Processing

We use your data solely to support and improve our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the action or request you initiate. We do not use your data for targeted marketing. If you share information with us and we wish to contact you later for any purpose not directly related to your request, we will ask for your explicit consent.
Your data is not shared with third parties, except where necessary to comply with accounting or administrative obligations. These third parties are bound by confidentiality agreements with us or are subject to legal or professional confidentiality requirements.

Automatically Collected Data

Data automatically collected by our website is processed to improve our services. This information (such as your IP address, web browser, and operating system) does not qualify as personal data.

Cooperation in Tax or Criminal Investigations

In certain circumstances, anaïstudios may be legally required to share your data in the context of tax or criminal investigations conducted by government authorities. If such a situation arises, we are obligated to cooperate, but we will challenge such requests whenever legally possible.

Retention Periods

We retain your data for as long as you are our customer. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. Such a request will be treated as a request to be forgotten.
We also do not store your data longer than two years after the last contact or transaction, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise. Due to administrative requirements, invoices containing your (personal) data must be retained for the legally applicable retention period. However, our staff will no longer have access to your customer profile or documents once the retention period has expired.

Your Rights

Under Dutch and European data protection laws, you have certain rights regarding your personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain these rights and how you can exercise them.
To prevent misuse, copies of your data will only be sent to the email address already known in our system. If you prefer to receive this information at a different email address or by mail, we will ask you to verify your identity.
We keep a record of processed requests. For “forget requests,” we store anonymized data. You will receive all copies of your information in a machine-readable format.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you believe your data is being used improperly.

Right of Access

You have the right to access the personal data we process about you. You can submit a request to our privacy contact person, and you will receive a response within 30 days. If approved, we will send a copy of your data and a list of processors who have access to it.

Right to Rectification

You may request that your personal data be corrected or updated. You will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will confirm the update by email.

Right to Restrict Processing

You have the right to request restrictions on the processing of your personal data. We will respond within 30 days. If granted, we will confirm that your data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to Data Portability

You may request that your data be transferred to another party. Within 30 days, we will provide copies of all relevant data processed by us or our processors. Please note that, in such cases, we may no longer be able to continue our services due to technical limitations.

Right to Object & Other Rights

You may object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of anaïstudios. If you object, we will immediately halt processing until the matter is resolved. If your objection is justified, we will stop all processing permanently and provide you with necessary copies of your data.
You also have the right not to be subject to automated decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in a way that triggers this right. If you believe otherwise, please contact our privacy representative.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. The most recent version will always be available on this page. If the updated privacy policy affects the way we process personal data that has already been collected about you, we will notify you of these changes by email.
